Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Data (JPRID) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before entering the peer-review process.

JPRID permits a maximum similarity index of 20%, excluding references, bibliography, properly quoted text, commonly used technical terms, and standard methodological descriptions. Similarity reports are evaluated carefully by the editorial team, as similarity percentages alone do not necessarily indicate plagiarism.

All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other equivalent tools.

Types of Plagiarism

The journal considers the following practices as plagiarism and publication misconduct:

• Direct copying of text, figures, tables, or ideas without proper attribution.
• Paraphrasing substantial portions of another author's work without appropriate citation.
• Self-plagiarism, including the reuse of previously published content without proper acknowledgment.
• Duplicate submission or duplicate publication of substantially similar manuscripts.
• Improper citation practices intended to conceal the original source of information.

Editorial Actions

• Manuscripts with a similarity index below 20% may proceed to the peer-review process after editorial evaluation.
• If moderate similarity is identified, authors may be requested to revise the manuscript and reduce overlapping content before review.
• Manuscripts containing significant plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical reuse of content will be rejected immediately.
• If plagiarism is discovered after publication, JPRID reserves the right to publish corrections, issue retractions, remove articles from publication records, and notify relevant institutions when necessary.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submitted work is original and properly cites the work of others. By submitting a manuscript to JPRID, authors confirm that the manuscript is free from plagiarism and complies with the journal’s publication ethics policies.
