Peer Review Process

Journal of Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Data (JPRID) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, integrity, and scientific excellence through a rigorous and transparent peer-review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and confidentiality.

Initial Submission and Editorial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript is evaluated by the Editorial Board to determine its suitability for publication in JPRID. The editorial screening assesses:

• Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
• Originality and novelty of the research
• Compliance with the journal's author guidelines and formatting requirements
• Academic quality and ethical standards
• Similarity and plagiarism screening

Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected without external review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area. JPRID applies a double-blind review process, where the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

• Originality, novelty, and significance of the contribution
• Scientific and technical quality
• Appropriateness of methodology and experimental design
• Validity of results and conclusions
• Quality of analysis and discussion
• Clarity, organization, and readability of the manuscript
• Relevance to the journal’s scope
• Adequacy of references and citation practices

Reviewer Recommendations

Based on their evaluation, reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations. The possible recommendations are:

• Accept
• Accept with Minor Revisions
• Major Revisions Required
• Reject

The editorial team considers reviewer comments and recommendations when making publication decisions.

Revision Process

Authors receiving revision requests must submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response letter explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.

For manuscripts requiring major revisions, the revised version may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.

Final Editorial Decision

After all review reports and revisions have been completed, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision. The final decision may be:

• Accepted for Publication
• Accepted with Final Revisions
• Rejected

The Editor-in-Chief's decision is final.

Copyediting, Proofreading, and Publication

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of presentation. Authors will receive page proofs for final approval before publication.

After final approval, the article is published in the next available issue of JPRID.

Review Timeline

JPRID strives to provide an efficient and timely review process while maintaining high academic standards. The typical review process takes approximately 4–8 weeks from submission to final decision, depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
